Danish Pastries

This is what I've been up to this past week! I think I made one a day. Started with the cherries and realized how much cherries I had to roll...and the next day I had the blueberries and that was two times (or maybe three times) the amount! No more rolling for a while.

These are the first pastries I made but didn't quite like the color of it.

chocolate croissants

I made these because I actually wanted one :) hehe!

Next on my work list : Mardi Gras cake!

  1. Thanks a lot, I'm hungry now. Sweets, I need sweets... LOL.

It's funny to learn that these are called "Danish pastries" in English. In northern Germany - where I live - we call them "Kopenhagener" after the Danish Capital. In most parts of Germany they're simply called "Teilchen", what woud be "parts" in a 1:1 translation. Now I'm very curious what a Mardi Gras cake is, no idea, but I'll see... ;O)

    Have a great weekend!
