French Cheese
I have been so busy making Italian cheese for my Italian shop, that I almost forgot there was French cheese!
Brie is my personal favorite, but to tell you the truth, I can't really tell the difference between brie and camembert....

New items
Here is a photo of some items I've been working on recently. I am preparing for a miniature show, so hopefully I will have more ready by then.
My personal favorite is the avocados and oranges.
My finger for comparison ;)

Figaro's
I need to update you on some new additions to the italian shop. I decided to go with "Figaro's" since it has 2 less letters than Geppetto's :-) Thank you to everyone who voted!
I made the store sign, but unfortunately it will have to be re-done (long story). I am thinking of a darker wood color than the black background. What do you think? I also added a "We are open" sign.
I also put price tags on the olives and fruits. Still need to make some for the cheese and meats.
Since I don't know how to make wine bottles (yet), I made boxes of wine instead. How slick is that? My husband says it's cheating...
I also have bottles of San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. Do you recognize the silver cans? If not, I don't blame you...those are "illy" coffee tins. Not very happy with them, but at this point, I really don't care.
Last big addition to the shop is fresh pasta! I shooed away the bakery items and installed a pasta rack and a prep table. Still need to make some more...
It looks like this shop will be opening in 2013...at least before the next Winter Olympics... I hope!

You've got mail!
I love getting packages in the mail- don't we all?
My italian shop has some delivery today- perhaps a new store sign?

Garlic and Pepper
I just wanted to share with you some 1:6 scale garlic and pepper braids I made.
I am so annoyed with my temporary camera. I can't even find the focusing "flower" button :( I guess I will have to bust out my lightbox for better lighting too...

Corn
I made corn today (1:6 scale) and my husband says it looks like a bugle.
At least it's a corn snack!
Anywho, have a great weekend everyone!

New Projects
I finally bought a new charger, but it hasn't arrived yet, so please excuse my photos. (Ironically, the camera I'm using right now is better than mine, but I just don't know how to "use" it!)
I started on a potting table project since I had plenty of succulents to plant :)
I still need a hat, shovel and a watering can to complete it!

Smells like Christmas!
I can't find my camera battery charger (for 3 weeks now...) and my camera just died on me. I really don't know where it could be and I almost asked Siri:
me: "Where is my camera battery charger?"
Siri: "I am not sure, but you can buy a new one on ebay."
I know it's a little too soon to be preparing for Christmas, but I wanted to make the star anise, dried oranges and bundle of cinnamon sticks for my potpourri collection. Merry Christmas!

Autumn Squash
I can't believe summer is almost over! I guess this means cooler weather, delicious feasts and more pounds :)
I made some autumn squash and pumpkins. I still have another batch to put in the oven...guess I'll have to make a farmer's market stall with all of this!

Cheese Display
Although my italian store still needs some finishing touches, one thing for sure is that it has enough cheese in stock!
My favorite is the mozzarella....so simple yet so delicious.
If you are a store owner and need more cheese, you know who to call :)

Brownies
I baked some brownies, and to make them (look) healthier, I added some nuts. I've actually been craving for some honey roasted peanuts for the past week (the ones they give out on the airplane)- maybe that's why I added the nuts...
