It happens when you least expect it! My first (and hopefully last) burnt tray of minis. I love how I can't even remember what some of them were supposed to be! But they were mostly roll cakes and donuts.
Awww I am sorry that this happened! Take solace in the fact that burnt clay has its uses too! Don't worry about the burnt bits. They can still be recycled. :) Just use your imagination and don't throw it out.
Oh, what a pity! But maybe some of the things can be used still - and who says all the 1:12 dollies have to be good houswives? Why not create some kitchen crisis scene? ;O)
oh! what a pity! much wasted effort, I am very sorry! but this is the lesser evil, if I think about how many times I burned the roast in 1:1 scale! .. I left my husband and children without dinner ... ha ha! do not distress yourself, is just a game! next time we need more attention in the oven? kisses, Caterina
I did this same thing recently. Bought an oven at the thrift store and found out the reason it was there in the first place. Sorry it happened to you too.
oops! but everything has a reason for happening...your "awareness" will probably be so much stronger now....but from I can see they were precious...and I know it was a lot of work!!!better days AHEAD! Colleen

ReplyDelete¡Que pena! Tanto trabajo quemado. Todas las que trabajamos con fimo alguna vez nos ha pasado eso, aunque no te consuele. Besos Clara
ReplyDeleteI've had this happen to me too-so frustrating! I love the idea of a "bad" mini cook :)
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad because of the time and attention spent, despite the burn they look quite fantastic!
