I can't wait to finalize the setting and glue it in place. Hopefully that will make it easier to take it to my next miniature show.
This is what my shop looks with the roofing.
A question to all the miniature experts out there: How do I light up a shop this big? I am hoping to use some battery operated lighting that I can just glue to the top. Any ideas?
This is a perfect italian shop.

Gorgious shop and everything looks so tasty! I am not an expert but i can give you a tip: There are some nice dolshouse lamps on batteries like the links Anna gave you. A cheaper version is to use Christmas lights on batteries.....the ones with ten little lamps.

Hello from Spain: Italian congratulations for this store. It has everything. The lighting can be purchased at a toy store specializing in items of miniature houses. Congratulations on this job well done. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous. Everything looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteI have bought a couple of battery lights from Minimum world and they work very well if you are happy to switch them all on individually.
Small World Products sell a battery unit which may work with LED light strips which would be a much cheaper way of lighting the whole shop.
this is a really lovely shop - I'm so pleased to have found your blog! I would recommend using tiny LED lights - I buy them from Evan Designs. The chip lights are surprisingly bright and you can hide them inconspicuously to spotlight certain areas. But probably the strips of LED lights recommended above would be the way to go for a large area, and they are in character for a shop.
