Mussels!
One of my favorite seafoods! I heard somewhere that you shouldn't eat them in certain months, and that the more orangish ones are "female".
These took too long to make, so probably won't make anymore~ too tired!

Anmitsu
I don't know if you are familiar with this dessert, but this is very popular in Japan. I like to have mine with green tea ice cream, so I made mine green tea + mochi balls + chestnut and azuki (red beans).

American Girl Food
I've been making a lot of 1:3 scale food lately, and I LOVE it! Although I keep having to go to the craft store for more clay, working in a different scale is so much fun.

Pasta Machine and Clay
I finally got a pasta machine (no more bulging right bicep!) since I have been getting orders for 1:3 scale. I felt like I was making food for Gulliver ... no, Paul Bunyan.
My little helpers~ they do all the clay mixing~ (yeah right, I wish!)
I also tidied/color coordinated my clay box (which is now a mess).

Projects
It's been a week since I've blogged! Here are some stuff that I've been making/keeping myself busy with.
short and sweet.
I made Mardi Gras Cake and Minnie Kitchen Pie for my American Girl customer, made some grapes, scones and Minnie Kitchen mix-n-match cupcakes.
I LOVE the pina colada cupcake. It's the one with the coconut frosting, pineapple slice and cherry topping.
I use polymer clay to make all my foods, and as you can see the American Girl 1:3 scale is HUGE (for me at least), so I got a pasta machine to knead my clay! YAY! no more arm falling off! Will update with that in a different post.

Whoopie Pies
Maru-chan: "Do you want a banany?"
Blair: "Uh..."
Maru-chan: "Okay, I give you whoopie pie"
Blair: "Deal"
I need to get Maruchan some new clothes. I personally want her to wear a cute long sleeve shirt with leggings to hide her ball joints.

Cheese and Dried Fruits
I made some dried fruits - prunes, dates, apricot, mango and pineapples
I personally love how the pineapples turned out. Maybe I should gloss the prunes...
I finally got my lazy butt to make a cheese board! I still need to make figs, crackers and olives for the deluxe board. So much to do, so much time, but so little motivation. Someone motivate me!

Steak dinner
I made a steak dinner with rib eye steak, baked potato, baby carrots, brussels sprouts and asparagus. I love how the brussels sprouts turned out but I think I'm gonna have to gloss it a bit.
I got new plates by the way! So excited to be able to actually "present" my food.

Happy V day!
I made royal buttered crumpets in celebration of Prince William's announcement of his best man and maid of honor. HA! That sounds so cheesy....(actually I was planning to make it yesterday but coincidentally they announced today)

Rainbow cake and Lobster
My friend had sent me a picture of a rainbow cake she had made, so I had to make it too (mine is not edible....)!
My first attempt at a lobster. I will be making more today....but boy does it take patience, patience, and time!
Everyone have a great weekend!

more boar and some peach pastries
I made a custom order in 1/4" scale and some peach pastries. I regret sprinkling the sugar powder...looks quite messy! I will have to re-do them tomorrow :)

I made some 1:3 scale food for my American doll customer! I used to love Felicity (although I couldn't pronounce her name when I was younger) and Samantha :)

Easter Egg Cupcakes
I got a little too excited with my extruder so I made a little too much easter cupcakes. 3 eggs on top of grass...I initially wanted to do it on yellow cupcakes but realized that grass grows from soil, so had to change it to chocolate!
I love how the green grass icing looks so real and "unhealthy".
Next up is apple pie and peach pie.

Eggs Benedict and Baked Potatoes
I went a little mini crazy last night and made all these foods that I was craving.
I always crave eggs benedict on Sunday mornings but can never get my lazy butt to make the hollandaise sauce!
Baked potatoes! I remember loving the wendy's broccoli and cheddar baked potato when I was a kid. Well I made it with different toppings, but what's wrong with this picture? It's so blurry.... maybe time for another camera. But in the end its always me~ hehe

Baby got back.........ribs
How corny! Probably because of the corn dogs I made earlier...haha. But I did make baby back ribs and glazed them with honey barbeque sauce.
I also added my july fourth flag cake to the table- it is topped with blueberries and strawberries
yum yum~
I think this picnic table is becoming a july fourth barbeque picnic.
And for all of you who asked about the paper plates : a quick tutorial! All you need is the perfect egg carton. I will try posting a pic of the brand when I go grocery shopping next time, but if you look closely on the bottom of the carton, there are parts where it has contours that look like plates. You need a mini eye to find this- be crazy!
